| 研究内容 Abstract |
都市計画において、都市における多様性は繁栄をもたらす(Jacobs 1961)と指摘されてきたが、これまでこの仮説はほとんど定量的に検証されてこなかった。その理由には、データの制約や、多様性を定量評価することの困難さなどが挙げられる。本研究では、生態学の分野で蓄積のある多様性指標を都市計画に援用し、ある都市の多様性を定量的に評価するための指標を提案すると同時に、都市における既存ウェルビーング指標と多様性との間の関係を分析することを目的とする。ただし本研究において多様性とは、商業活動における小売店舗の種類の豊富さを指す。小規模な界隈(100mグリッド、町丁目など)において多様性指標を評価した上で、lancetやWHOなどの健康・ウェルビーング指標を参照し、既存都市指標の妥当性を検証することを行う。 |
| In urban planning, it has been noted that diversity in cities leads to prosperity (Jacobs 1961), but this hypothesis has rarely been quantitatively tested. Reasons for this include data limitations and difficulties in quantitatively assessing diversity. This study aims to propose an index to quantitatively evaluate the diversity of a city and to analyze the relationship between diversity and existing wellbeing indicators in the city by applying diversity indicators accumulated in the field of ecology to urban planning. In this study, however, diversity refers to the variety of retail outlets in commercial activities. After evaluating diversity indicators in small neighborhoods (e.g., 100-meter grid, town street, etc.), we will refer to health and wellbeing indicators such as lancet and WHO to verify the validity of existing urban indicators. | |
