| 研究内容 Abstract |
日本の農村部では人口減少とそれに伴う経済活動の衰退が社会課題となっている。農村部の人口および経済活動の動態を高分解能で推計するためにに、北東北３県（青森県・岩手県・秋田県）を対象に、町丁目・大字単位の国勢調査データ（人口及び世帯年収割合）と市町村単位の平均余命データから人間開発指数（HDI）を求め、これを教師データとして、夜間光画像の機械学習を行い、時空間動態を分析する。その際、自然保護区の近傍にある集落はHDIが相対的に高くなるという仮設を検証する。また、結果をブラジルおよび東アフリカ諸国における先行研究と国際的に比較することにより、推計の妥当性を検証する。さらに、妥当性の検証されたアルゴリズムを用いて、国内他地域における人口・経済動態の推定を試みる。 |
| Decline of population the accompanying economic activities are major social issues in rural areas of Japan. In order to estimate the dynamics of population and socioeconomic activities in rural areas at a high resolution, we obtain the Human Development Index (HDI) from census data (population and household income ratio) at the municipality level and life expectancy data at the prefecture level for three prefectures in the northern Tohoku region (i.e., Aomori, Iwate, and Akita prefectures). The HDI is used for supervised machine learning of nightlight images. In doing so, we test the hypothesis that HDI is relatively higher for settlements located in the vicinity of nature reserves. The validity of the estimates will be verified by comparing the results internationally with previous studies in Brazil and East African countries. Furthermore, we will attempt to estimate population and economic dynamics in other regions of the country using the validated algorithm. | |
